Did you know there's a 6" gutter? Your gutters could be a lot smaller. 6" can make all the difference in moving that rain water along and into new downspouts taking it away from the foundation. That does so much toward keeping your basement dry! Currently if your basement is moldy or just smells musty that's from water getting in. Your gutters could be overflowing and leaking bringing water right down along the foundation into the basement walls. So many people claim - my gutters are fine. Have you really gotten up there to check them out? You may be shocked at the debris sitting in there. If you have asphalt roofing those little stones come off and sink themselves right into the bottom of the gutter, they don't easily wash away with old gutters. Then the leaves, cottonwood, dirt cling to the stones creating quite the blockages.
