With the support of many volunteers, proceeds made by the thrift store are donated to the Senior Options for Independence (SOFI). SOFI provides unwavering support to its seniors, age 60 and above, who wish to still live at home. For many seniors, having the ability to stay home and be connected to professionally trained care coordinators gives them the security and confidence to thrive. SOFI also offers transportation services for the everyday needs for seniors, as well as, the necessary medical appointments. 

What a wonderful place the Tool Thrift Shop is, for not only the tool enthusiast, but the community too. You will find tools at very affordable prices while making a contribution to seniors. The Tool Thrift Shop is a volunteer-run, retail shop. For many seniors, it also gives them a sense of pride by volunteering in the Tool Thrift Shop so they too, continue the efforts to support the community. Over 30,000 man hours have generated $250,000 for SOFI.
